Dark Tanning Tips

While the quality of your indoor tan has a lot to do with the quality of the tanning bed you use the very best indoor tans are not just gained by lying under some bright lights a couple of times a week. The staff of Urban Sun want you to know there are certain things you should be doing to help ensure that you get the best possible tan. Here are some of our indoor tanning tips:
Urban Sun Tanning Tips
#1 Exfoliate
Before you head to Urban Sun for your first tanning session of the season make sure that your winter skin has been smoothed away with a little extra exfoliating when you shower. By removing all that nasty dead skin you ensure that you are creating a nice, smooth canvas for tanning. Our best-selling body scrub will totally do the trick! Try Hempz Pomegranate Body Scrub. It smells fantastic, and it’s pink!
#2 Use a Great Indoor Tanning Lotion
Anyone who visits Urban Sun knows that we stock a wide range of indoor tanning lotions including Designer Skin‘s newest products. In order to get the best possible tan it really is essential that you use one of the recommended tanning lotions. Everyone has their own favorite when it comes to the different tanning lotions available and if you don’t have one yet we encourage you to experiment a little until you do.
#3 Don’t Forget to Moisturize
A good after tan moisturizer is every bit as existential to the perfect tan as a great tanning lotion is. Supple, moisturized skin retains color longer and it simple just looks a lot better as well! Our latest favorite is Black Tan Extender by Designer Skin.
#4 Build a Base and Maintain
How long it takes to build a good base tan varies from individual to individual. Most people tan at 2-3 times a week to get that base tan started off quickly and then drop down to once or twice a week or so to maintain their gorgeous golden glow.
